02The app

Promilleni has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code. It makes no network requests of its own. The privacy policy link in the app opens this page in the watch's browser. We cannot see what you log in the app.

03Health data

With your permission, Promilleni reads your sex, date of birth, height and weight from Apple Health to estimate your blood alcohol level. If you choose to save drinks to Health, it writes each drink you log to Health as a number of standard drinks.

This data is read and written on your devices only. Promilleni does not send it to us or anyone else, does not store it in iCloud and does not use it for advertising. Apple's Health app may sync your Health data between your own devices according to your Apple Account settings, which we do not control or see.

04Data stored by the app

Your profile, the drinks you log and your settings are stored in the app on your Apple Watch. They stay there until you delete them or delete the app.

05Permissions and deletion

• To stop Promilleni reading or writing Health data, open the Health app on your iPhone, tap your profile picture, then Apps under Privacy, then Promilleni. You can also stop saving drinks to Health in the app.
• Deleting the app removes the data it stores. Drinks already written to Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.

06Beta testing with TestFlight

If you test a beta version through Apple's TestFlight, Apple shares with us the build you installed, your device model and OS version, how often you open the app, crash reports and any feedback you send. If we invited you by email, Apple also shares your name and email address. We use this only to fix and improve the app, and we do not share it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in testing the app. We keep it until testing of the app ends, then delete it. Apple describes its own processing in TestFlight & Privacy.

07App Store crash reports

If you allow Share with App Developers in your iPhone's or Apple Watch's privacy settings, Apple sends us crash reports and basic usage statistics for Promilleni. They contain no name or contact details. We use them only to fix bugs, keep them for at most one year, and do not share them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in fixing the app. You can turn sharing off at any time in the same settings. Apple describes this sharing in Device Analytics & Privacy.

08Contacting support

If you email us, we use your email address and message to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions about our app. We keep the messages for 2 years after the last message, then delete them. Messages to our support address pass through an email forwarding service and are stored by our email service provider. Both process the messages on our behalf and may process them outside the EEA, including in the United States. These transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the Commission's standard contractual clauses. Ask us for a copy of the safeguards or the names of the providers.

09These web pages

These pages are delivered by our web hosting and security provider, which processes your IP address and request details on our behalf to deliver and protect the pages. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering and protecting the pages. The provider may process this data outside the EEA, including in the United States. These transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the Commission's standard contractual clauses. Ask us for a copy of the safeguards or the name of the provider. We keep no access logs ourselves, and the provider keeps request data only as long as its service needs it. The pages use no cookies and no analytics.

10Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Contact us at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).

11Age

Promilleni is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

We will update this page if the app's handling of data changes, and show the new effective date at the top.
